e cruelty-free. We believe that sourcing of ingredients should be sustainable and provide a living wage to the producers. We also love to support our neighbors in their business journey which is why we source our beeswax and honey from nearby farms. Our Standards
We know you care about what you put on your skin, that is why we source only the finest natural ingredients. We seek to procure only the best of organic, fair trade, and/or cruelty-free products available. All of our essential oils are tested for purity, potency, and authenticity using the gold standard GC-MS testing. Each bottle, bar, and jar are carefully crafted, hand labeled, and personally packaged just for you! We believe that the energy of creating by hand can’t be matched by the output of a machine. The delicate beauty, Queen Anne's Lace is in full bloom at the homestead. Sometimes looked upon as a w**d, this herb has been used throughout history as a diuretic, digestive aid, and even birth control. Carrot seed essential oil is actually made from the seed of the Queen Anne's Lace, which is also known as wild carrot. ♥️

Have you noticed the changes at the Hippie Homesteader? One shift we have recently made is switching many of our products from using exotic carrier oils to organic sunflower oil. Not only is sunflower oil moisturizing, soothing, and full of antioxidants, but this particular sunflower oil is grown and pressed right here in Wisconsin on organic farms. Why import exotic foreign oils when we have this great ingredient right in our own backyard! 🌻
