🌿 Evening Walk at Clover Creek 🌿

Join us tonight at 6 PM for an evening walk out at Clover Creek! The weather is finally giving us a break — temps will be in the 70’s, which should make for an absolutely perfect evening outdoors. ☀️🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️

With rain expected later this week, now’s the time to get outside, get moving, and soak up some fresh air while we can. Whether you’ve been needing some activity, connection, or just a peaceful evening outdoors, we’d love to have you join us. 💚

The trailhead can be found off Shasta View Dr. at 3100 Venus Way. 📍

As always, no experience needed — just show up, bring some comfortable shoes, and come enjoy some community and conversation along the way.

🌊☀️ Another awesome evening out at Whiskey Creek on Whiskeytown Lake! ☀️🌊

Tonight was full of good fellowship, new faces, plenty of laughter, and even a couple of completely planned and intentional swimming trips off the paddleboards. 😂🏄‍♂️💦

These nights are about more than just paddleboarding — they’re about connection, community, fresh air, and finding joy in sobriety alongside people who get it. Whether you’re brand new to ROAR or have been coming out for a while, there’s always room for one more board on the water. 🙌

If you’ve been thinking about joining us, this is your sign. You don’t need to be an expert paddler… honestly, sometimes ending up in the water just makes the story better. 😅

We’ll be out here all summer long, making memories one sunset at a time. 🌅💙

🌄 Chamise Peak Sunset Hike 🌄

What a wonderful evening of laughter, connection, and community out on the trail yesterday. ❤️

It’s always great seeing new faces come out and experience these adventures with us, and tonight was no exception. We made our way up to the summit, took in some absolutely amazing views from the top, and shared plenty of good conversations along the way. 🥾✨

There’s something special about ending the evening on a mountain surrounded by good people, fresh air, and a 360° view of Northern California. Moments like these are what it’s all about.

Thank you to everyone who joined us — we can’t wait for the next adventure! 💪🌲

🌄 Tonight’s ROAR Hike: Chamise Peak! 🌄

Join us tonight at 6:00 PM for a beautiful 4.5-mile out-and-back hike to one of the best panoramic viewpoints around! 💪🌲

📍 Trailhead: Off Flanagan Road, just off of Lake Boulevard.

At the top, you’ll be rewarded with incredible 360-degree views of the valley, Shasta Lake, Shasta Dam, and even Mount Shasta standing tall in the distance. 🏔️✨

And don’t let the warmer temperatures keep you away — there’s plenty of shade along the trail to help keep things comfortable. 🌳 There’s even a picnic bench at the summit, making it the perfect spot to rest, hydrate, enjoy a snack, and soak in the views before heading back down to the trailhead. 🧺☀️

Whether you’ve been hiking with us for years or you’ve been thinking about coming out for the first time, we’d love to have you join us. ROAR is all about connection, community, support, and finding joy in recovery through adventure and the outdoors. ❤️

New people are always welcome — come give us a try and see what we’re all about! 👣

🏓 ROAR Pickleball Recap 🏓
Tonight we learned two very important things:
There are apparently STILL rules we don’t know 😂
We spent a solid portion of the night absolutely DESTROYING the net with pickleballs 🎾🫠
Between the laughs, questionable athletic ability, and “WAIT… that’s a rule?!” moments, it was another awesome night with some amazing people. Recovery doesn’t always have to look serious — sometimes it looks like chasing balls across the court and arguing over whether that shot was in or not 😅
Huge thank you to everyone who came out — people in recovery and allies of those in recovery. Y’all make these nights what they are

NEXT WEEK is the LAST week to get your name entered into the drawing for the Pickleball Gift Basket! 🎁🏓

🚨🏓 PICKLEBALL WEDNESDAY IS BACK 6PM TONIGHT 🏓🚨
Tonight at 6PM we’re back out at the courts for another R.O.A.R. Pickleball Night! 💥
If you’re in recovery or an ally supporting recovery, come hang out with us for a night of laughs, connection, movement, and wildly questionable pickleball skills 😂
Some of us play like champions.
Some of us look like baby deer on roller skates.
Either way… we’re having a blast 🙌

🎁 REMINDER 🎁
Every week your name gets entered into our drawing for the Pickleball Gift Baskets at the END OF MAY! The more weeks you show up, the more entries you get! 👀🏓

Another successful ROAR walk by the river tonight 🌊🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️

The cool temps by the water made for the perfect evening to get outside, move a little, and enjoy some great company. Lots of nonstop conversation, plenty of laughs 😂, and another reminder of how awesome this group of people is.

Best part? Somehow everyone made it through the walk without stepping in dog p**p 💩🐾 — honestly might be our biggest accomplishment yet.

Grateful for the good vibes, good people, and another great night by the river 🌅

🌅 Tonight’s walk takes us out to the Turtle Bay East Open Space off of Bechelli! 🌿

If you’ve never experienced sunset out here, this is your chance. The golden hour at this spot is truly magical — peaceful trails, beautiful evening light through the trees, and the perfect way to slow down and reset after a long day. ✨

The path is primarily dirt, so be sure to bring a good pair of tennis shoes or comfortable walking shoes. 👟

More than anything, this is a chance to get outside, connect with good people, build community, and remind ourselves that recovery doesn’t have to happen alone. Whether you come to walk, talk, laugh, or just enjoy the evening air, we’d love to have you out there with us. ❤️

📍 Turtle Bay East Open Space
🕕 6:00 PM

Bring a friend, bring your support, and come enjoy a beautiful evening together. 🌄
