Dr. Stallworth practices in association with Texas Plastic Surgery in San Antonio, TX and is Clinical Assistant Professor of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr. Stallworth’s practice focuses exclusively on aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, head, and neck. He has particular expertise in cosmetic and functional rhinoplasty (nasal surgery), and all aspects of facial rejuvenation surgery including face/neck lift, browlift, blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), and otoplasty (ear “pinning”). In addition, Dr. Stallworth specializes in reconstruction of cancer and traumatic facial defects and repair of pediatric birth defects. Chin implants can be placed alone but are commonly placed, as in this case, in conjunction with other procedures like a rhinoplasty.

Implant placement not only improves the chin projection on profile and definition of the jawline, but also improves the support and posture of the lower lip by frequently relieving the strain of the mentalis muscle to keep the mouth closed. Facial features are enhanced and relaxed, simultaneously.

Today we’re sharing early post-op photos from one of our gorgeous patients.

Result photos are from 6 weeks post-op and have quite a ways to go in terms of swelling and skin contraction - but it is already evident the improvement of balance.

A corrected lower septal deviation, improved tip highlights, better rotation with maintained projection, a more feminine profile - all of these changes are subtle but demonstrate the harmony of the form and function achieved with an open, structural rhinoplasty. She are I are both ecstatic about her early results!
