IMAGINE

This year, I chose the theme “Imagine”
by John Lennon for my yoga series with
the Shawano Boys and Girls Club.

Each month, we’ll be learning different
stretches and dances, followed by a craft
project to go along with the song.
At the end of the year, we’ll bring it all
together for a special Parents’
Night presentation.

During our first class, we ended
in a circle where I asked the students
what peace means to them.
Here are some of their beautiful answers:
stillness, music, rest, friendship, listening,
no war, compassion, family, community,
and kindness.

I’m looking forward to a wonderful year
of growth, creativity, and learning
from this next generation of dreamers.

but I’m not the only one.
I hope someday you’ll join us,
and the world will live as one.”
