When Becky arrived at Birch Hill Health Services she admitted that she was afraid. But that is not all - she was ill, sad, depressed, and only weighed about 87 pounds. Now, she is returning home "happy, healthy, and weighing 120 pounds," and added, "I couldn't have made it to where I am without [the staff's] care."

We wish you nothing but the best on your recovery Becky! It was our pleasure to help you meet your goals so you could return home.

The Birch Hill team has been hard at work developing a facility program focused on dementia and behavior management.

Therapists are partnering closely with the building staff and physicians to identify strategies that reduce challenging behaviors while promoting comfort and dignity for residents. This work also includes exploring safe opportunities for medication reductions, helping to minimize side effects and improve overall quality of life.

By combining teamwork, creativity, and evidence-based care, Birch Hill is building a program that supports both residents and caregivers in meaningful ways.

Birch Hill Health Services celebrated assisted living facilities for National Assisted Living Week in the Shawano community. We delivered trays of treats to Shawano Place Senior Living, The Cottages on Golden Pond Senior Living, and Oakhaven Assisted Living.
