Yesterday, we took one of our last trips to Dairy Cove before they switch to weekend hours only! We always enjoy our ice cream from there. ☺️🍦

Our backyard cookout is approaching quickly! This Sunday, August 17th from 11am-3pm, join us for a day of fun, food, and raffles! 😊

These are just a few of the baskets that you could have a chance to win. Come out and support Red River Riders.

In addition to these great prizes, we will have music by Terroyke, face painting, bake & craft sale, catch and release fishing (bait provided, pole needed), and a petting zoo by Krafts Kuddly Kritters.

Today we took a trip to the Dairy Cove in Cecil and got some hot fudge sundaes. 🍨

We were thankful it wasn't as hot as it was yesterday. There also was a nice breeze. 😊☀️

Unity Hospice came and recognized our veterans by doing a pinning ceremony. 🎖️

Veterans pinning ceremonies provide an opportunity to acknowledge the military service and sacrifices made by the veteran and their family. They also provided us with a new flag for our flagpole. ❤️🤍💙

Today we went to the Dairy Cove in Cecil and enjoyed our ice cream sundaes. 🍨

We also enjoyed some pet therapy by a dog named Louie. He was a Saint Bernard and doodle mix. Thank you to his owners for letting our residents enjoy your dog. It means a lot to us!! 🐾

Our Alzheimer's walk on June 20th raised $577 from selling Seroogy candy bars, ice cream sundaes, baked goods and crafts!! A shoutout & thanks to Heartland Hospice who donated all the toppings for the sundaes and ThedaCare who donated some ice cream!!

To our family, friends, and agencies who donated and joined in on the Walk to End Alzheimer's - Shawano- Thank you!! Theda Care Hospice team walked with some residents and everyone enjoyed the companionship along the way, reading the signs, picking a flower, and crossing the finish line together!

Afterwards, the dining room was filled with lively conversation, laughter, and the sweet treat of ice cream.

Every step is for a memory worth saving. 💜

The Cottages on Golden Pond has a 22-unit memory care facility dedicated to providing the special care that is required for someone with dementia. Our Memory Care facilities are a place where your loved one can reside in a safe and supportive environment. Staff members are professionally trained in approaches and care for all types and stages of dementia, specifically Alzheimer’s Disease.

Memory Care includes helping our residents with frequent reminders, redirection and calm reassurance. A diagnosis of Alzheimer’s Disease or dementia is not required to live at The Cottages Memory Care.
