A loved one's headstone is a lasting tribute, offering a special place to remember and reflect. As times change, so do design choices. When selecting a headstone, start by setting a budget as part of your planning. Consider the style and material, such as the classic curved top or timeless granite for a simple and dignified look. Personalize the inscription to capture your loved one’s spirit, whether with a meaningful quote or a heartfelt phrase like 'In loving memory'. Take time to compare local suppliers, review their galleries, and ask for drafts before finalizing your decision. Choosing headstones may feel overwhelming, but finding the right support can make the process easier. Visit our website to explore options and get guidance every step of the way.

Headstones have a fascinating history, serving as a way for families to honor and remember loved ones for centuries. Did you know that gravestones were once placed in backyards as early as 1300 BC, and the name headstone comes from the tradition of placing a stone at the head of the grave? While today's markers are chosen for remembrance, not superstition, the act of placing and caring for a stone is still meaningful. Even families who choose cremation can have a memorial in a cemetery, keeping memories alive for generations. With so many materials available, from elegant marble to durable quartz, there's a marker to suit every preference and budget. Choosing one doesn't need to be overwhelming. Choosing the right grave marker is an important way to honor a loved one's memory. Many people use the terms headstone, gravestone, and tombstone interchangeably, but there are key differences. A headstone stands upright at the head of the grave and often includes an engraved message, making it the most common type of modern grave marker. Gravestones traditionally lay flat over the grave and were originally used to deter grave disturbance. Both options can be personalized with names, dates, and special inscriptions. Over time, the lines between these terms have blurred, so it's helpful to know what each means when making decisions. When selecting a marker, focus on what best represents your loved one and the message you want to share. Veteran’s Day is Tuesday, November 11th.
It is an honor for us when the time comes to install a veteran’s bronze plaque on his or her memorial stone. We do so with reverence and respect for the time this person dedicated to our country and the freedoms we possess.
We have also installed several community monuments for veteran organizations in the area. It is important for all of us to remember those who have passed away and take a minute to read these names…. people who gave their lives in service as well as those who served and returned home.

Paradise Black-As you can see this granite has its own superior quality in appearance. Not only does it have color variations depending on the type of monument, upright versus slant, it lends itself well for artwork such as flowers, crosses, etc. Although it is called black, it appears dark gray so if you are looking for dark gray granite, think Paradise Black. Did I mention we have a special going on Paradise Black slants? We do!

Fall in Wisconsin is SO beautiful. You can smell the wet leaves as they carpet the woods and watch as the colorful leaves drift to the ground. During fall, the scenery is marked by a rich palette of reds, oranges, yellows, and browns, which are a result of the changing foliage. These colors are not only visually stunning but also evoke a sense of tranquility and reflection.
In Wisconsin, the fall season is also a busy time for our crews involved in installing memorial stones, as they take advantage of the favorable weather conditions to complete their projects efficiently.
Ordering a memorial stone now allows for the utilization of the winter months for receiving and carving, ensuring that the project is completed in a timely manner.
For those inspired by the autumn colors, visiting us now offers an opportunity to explore a variety of granite options. The selection of granite colors is diverse, ranging from deep reds and browns to lighter shades of gray and beige, allowing you the ability to design your distinctive memorial.

It seems that for eternity, we have marked the graves of our loved ones, sometimes in granite, sometimes in marble, sometimes in limestone and sometimes even in wood. We believe it is important to mark every resting place.
We take pleasure when a family wishes to put a unique phrase on the stone which envelopes the personality of their loved one. Often, it is phrasing the person used a lot and this is extra special because we know they can hear that person’s voice every time they read it on the stone.
What would you like your memorial stone to say about you? Now is the time to think about purchasing your memorial so it can “speak” for you. See us for your unique memorial stone design today; we are a small company with a big heart.
