with all the respiratory viruses going around, I thought it would be a good idea to put out some information about an amazing plant. Mullein (Verbascum spp).
Mullein has been used for thousands of years for respiratory conditions. Mullein may help with clearing phlegm from the lungs. It is a demulcent; meaning that it coats mucous membranes; therefor reducing inflammation in the lungs & bronchials. It also thins lung mucus making it easier to cough it out.
It is one of the very few plants where it is actually beneficial to breath in the smoke from! You don't have to directly inhale it like a cigarette - you can passively burn it similarly to burning sage.
