Week 5, Day 1: Medicine Cabinet

Let's talk organizing products to keep your medicine/medicine cabinet tidy!

- Organizers with dividers: An easy way to separate medicines by type.
*Pro tip: Keep all of your medicine cups/syringes/infant syringes in the front for easy access.

- Turn tables: when are these not amazing?! They help save space and give you quick access to your vitamins/supplements/meds.

- Medicine organizer: A great way to keep you organized on the go!

- Labels: I use this handy label maker all the time! It's under $27, can go a long time without a charge, and the app is user friendly! I also like these specific medicine labels where you can put when the medication was opened and when it expires.

Week 4, Day 5: Under The Kitchen Sink Edition

Here are some organizing products to keep items under your sink contained!

1. Pull out cabinet drawers are very helpful under the kitchen sink.
- They can sometimes be problematic if plumbing gets in the way. The one in today's post is nice because it accounts for this.
- Make sure to ALWAYS measure your space before purchasing products (unless you're cool with possibly having to return the items). My husband despises having to return anything, but to me - NBD!

2. Turn tables - GREAT to put all of your cleaning supplies on.

3. Pull out acrylic drawer - this is how I contain my trash bags and easily pull them out through the handle.

4. Not sure where to start? Grab this 18 piece Multipurpose set for $63 from The Home Edit line at Wal-Mart. Not only can it be used under the sink, but many other areas in your home too!

Happy Organizing!

Week 4, Day 4: Fridge/Freezer Edition

Let's talk how to sustain organization in your fridge/freezer. There are a few key guidelines to follow:
1. Regularly get rid of expired foods, leftovers that don't get eaten, and items you end up not liking/using
2. Every item has a place to go
3. Labels, labels, labels
- Pro tip: Make the labels very generic to include a wide variety (ex. dairy, condiments, sauces, dressings, veggies, fruits instead of: milk, mustard, ketchup, ranch, broccoli, strawberries)

If every item has a home, and that home is labeled - then everyone in the family can put it back where it belongs!

Another reminder - don't forget to mark expiration dates on the bottom of your containers (permanent marker wipes off easily with a little rubbing alcohol)

A few of my favorite products to include for your fridge: egg holders, turn tables for dressings, sauces, condiments, and produce containers. We also like can holders for our garage fridge aka drink fridge.

Freezer organization: I utilize these budget friendly multi-purpose bins from The Container Store.

Happy Organizing!

Week 4, Day 4: Fridge/Freezer Edition

I try to regularly clean out my fridge and freezer on a weekly basis, but that doesn't always mean checking expiration dates. So, today is the day to get TO it!

1. Take everything single item OUT.
- If you need to break this up in to 2 sessions - that's totally ok!
2. Sort your items in 2 piles this time - purge and keep. I don't think you'll need a donation pile for this one.
3. Categorize your kept items
(Ex. for Fridge: Dairy, Deli, Veggies, Fruit, Sauces, Condiments, Dressings, Snacks, Meals, Cheeses (also dairy - but deserves its own category IMO)
(Ex. for Freezer: Veggies, Fruit, Meats, Meals, Misc.)
4. EXTRA Credit: Wipe down ALL surfaces in your fridge and freezer while everything is out!
5. Organize items back and now you'll open the fridge/freezer just to stare at it. Great job!

Week 3, Day 4: Command Center/Mail Edition

Do you have a family command center? Do you want to create a space that gives your mail and important information a home?

Here are some products to create one!

1. Monthly Calendar - this can be mounted on a wall or on your refrigerator

2. Mail Organizer - this will give your incoming mail a home. I recommend purchasing one that is either:
A. Not very big and makes you go through your mail on a regular basis
Or
B. One that has folders/dividers, so you can organize as you go!

3. A place for keys (car keys, mail keys, work keys). That way, you're not hunting for where you last left them.

4. Note pad or notebook for grocery lists or important information you need to jot down.

Hope this help and happy organizing!

3. Categorize all of your items (mail, pens, paper, etc)

4. Organize your items back or put items back where they're suppose to live.
