Does your head ever feel tight or achy, like thereâs tension wrapping around the entire surface of your skull?
Not quite a headache. Not quite jaw pain. Just a constant, lingering pressure around your temples, behind your eyes, or near the base of your head that never fully lets up.
What most people donât realize is that this kind of tension can be a sign of a dysregulated nervous systemâŚand it rarely shows up alone.
You might also notice slow digestion, trouble sleeping, sound sensitivity, brain fog, jaw clenching, or the feeling that your body just wonât settle even when youâre exhausted.
Thatâs because when your system stays stuck in a state of stress, it doesnât just affect how you feel emotionally. It changes how your body functions, from head to gut.
In my office, we work with the soft tissue around the skull and neck to reduce built-up tension and support better regulation. I also teach simple tools like breathwork, movement, and sensory resets that you can use at home to help your system stay more balanced between visits.
If your symptoms feel scattered but strangely connected, this could be the reason why.
