I could write an entire book on quotes from moms right after they push out a baby. Some other great ones are: "That was way easier than I thought it would be." "I'm NEVER doing that again." "I'm sorry I yelled." "That was amazing!" "We are adopting the next one."

Midwife Erika and her family welcomed a healthy baby BOY last week. At more than a week past her guess date, she really wanted to attend the birth of another mom who is her dear friend. So while midwifing her friend, she went into active labor herself and delivered at her friend's birth space. (Her friend had a beautiful baby girl an hour and a half later

On this first World Down Syndrome Day for our family, we are honored to announce the birth of our son Weldon Francis (meaning “spring on a hill” and “free man”). Parenting life can bring all kinds of curveballs, and we didn’t anticipate that this delightful human might surprise us at birth with an extra chromosome to love, but what most brought us peace & steadying for his journey has been the peaceful beginnings of his birth. Our baby’s life journey may likely have beauties that differ greatly from his older siblings — even the pace of his labor followed a wildly different path teaching patience, tenderness, and love — but what we appreciate most deeply is that each of our babies still got to have a beautifully connective start by being safely born at home, peacefully in water, and according to their own magic of time. We will forever treasure the most heavenly of golden hours that has gotten us through the hard stuff and especially the amazing birth team of Sacred Song Homebirth who helped make sure it happened. ✨🍀

Sometimes birth happens quickly and Dads that previously wanted the midwife to catch, step up and catch their baby. This amazing father went ahead and inspected the placenta as well.
We asked if he wanted to apply for a job and he declined. 🤣🤣_
