Dr. Gabel is originally from Western Kansas and is proud to join a trusted provider of the Kansas City area, in Shawnee. Dr. Gabel received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Biology from the University of Kansas. He then attended Palmer College of Chiropractic, in Davenport, IA receiving his Doctorate of Chiropractic (DC) graduating Magna Cum Laude. He is board certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and has completed additional training in soft tissue treatment, Graston Technique, pediatric care, upper cervical care, and functional assessment and treatment of upper extremity, lower extremity, and gait abnormalities. Dr. Gabel has an additional interest in health and wellness, through a balance of lifestyle modifications for families and individuals, with a focus on the understanding that health is "a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity (WHO, 2006)." Dr. Gabel enjoys spending his free time with family and friends, including his 18 month old son. He enjoys getting outdoors for various forms of exercise, immersing himself in the local culture, and volunteering at his church. Dr. Gabel works to understand the needs of patients from all walks of life in today's busy environments, and will strive to listen to your concerns. His goal is to provide an atmosphere focused on health and wellness while providing an experience of quality care delivered with integrity.
