Eric is a seasoned optician with over a decade of experience in the KC area. He honed his expertise while at a luxury boutique, styling some of the city’s most fashionable residents. His passion for eye wear and his thorough understanding of optics have earned him a well-respected reputation in the industry. Outside of the office, you can find him exploring his culinary talents in the kitchen, or watching Jeopardy with his husband, Mike, and their beloved cat, Maddy.

Did you know that August is National Eye Exam Month? Here are 5 reasons you should get an eye exam every year:

1. To save a headache! If you’ve been having unexplained, constant headaches, your solution could be visiting your optometrist.

2. To preform well in school. Did you know that 1 out of every 4 children has vision problems? Make sure your kids are seeing their best & have their eyes examined every year.

3. To determine your prescription. Your eyes change over time & your optometrist can determine if you need glasses or contacts or a stronger prescription.

4. To detect eye conditions. Your optometrist can spot early onset signs of diabetes, high blood pressure, glaucoma, and high cholesterol just by conducting an eye exam.

5. To prevent conditions. Many serious eye diseases often have no symptoms. An optometrist will see the early signs of diseases such as macular degeneration or cataracts & early detection is important to prevent serious damage.
