Darrell Wayne Barnes, of Shawnee, passed away May 19, 2026 at the age of 85. He was born October 31, 1940 in Seminole, OK. He was the 11th of 12 children.

Darrell attended and graduated from Shawnee High School, class of 1958. He served in the US Army Reserves as a young man with several of his brothers and cousins. He had fond memories of his time there as the chauffeur and golf buddy to the Commanding General. He married Ginger Wilson in 1961 and had a daughter, Kimberly Barnes in 1962. Darrell and Ginger shared 20 years of adventures before divorcing in 1981.

He married Paula Sparks in 1984 and had his youngest daughter, Kari Sue Barnes in 1985. He was very proud of his daughters and grandchildren. He loved to talk about them and share their pictures wherever he went. He held many titles throughout his life, including 18 years at the Federal National Bank, where he started out as a cashier, then a loan officer, and ended up as a Vice President. He also worked in the oilfield and was an auditor for the State of Oklahoma, among other roles. Darrell was very active in the community organizations in Shawnee for years. He would get involved in anything you asked him to help with. He was a founder of the Faith 7 Bowl and a top fundraiser for many charity events. He was a member of the Shawnee Country Club and enjoyed playing golf with buddies and attending functions there, as well as the Elks Golf and Country Club in later years.

Darrell was extremely personable and made friends wherever he went. He lived a wonderfully full life. He was good at all sports and loved golf, snow skiing, water sports, running, dancing, watching football, betting on horse races, and anything that anyone challenged him to do. A woman of remarkable grace, Celia earned her BS in Accounting, a foundation that led to a respected career as a Certified Public Accountant. Though her professional achievements were many, she wore them humbly, choosing instead to place the utmost value on her family and her marriage of 56 years—her proudest accomplishments. Birds, deer, and other creatures she observed were part of her daily solace, alongside her beloved pets who held a special place in her heart.

Beyond her professional world and family circle, Celia was known for her warm hospitality. She delighted in hosting Sunday dinners, where stories and laughter intertwined with love and togetherness. Spending time with friends, caring for her grandchildren, and embracing the spirit of adventure through travel were among the many ways she enriched her life and the lives of those she touched.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louada and Ira Henson; brothers, Doyle and Bobby Millican; and sister, Billy Millican.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Heath; children, April King, Brent Heath and wife Rebeka Fair; grandchildren, Stephen King, Cameron King, and Ian Stephens; great-grandchildren, Mason and Brooklyn King; brother, Edd Henson; sister-in-law, Linda Kay Henson; niece, Celia Kay Henson; and nephew, Todd Henson.

Celia F. Heath will be remembered not only for her professional expertise or her accomplishments, but above all for the love she gave freely, the steady light she provided in times of darkness, and the inspiration she leaves behind. Robert "Bob" Finis Buzzard

Robert Finis Buzzard came into this world full of possibility on October 15, 1933, securely wedged into a family as the third of four children. He was the son of Eugene John Buzzard and Alma Margaret Richard Buzzard. His birth took place in the family home built by his grandfather.

As a child, Bob spent his days working alongside his family on the farm and roaming the hills and pastures with his dog. He attended McLoud schools and even experienced having his mother as his fifth-grade teacher. In that same fifth-grade class was a little girl new to the school who sat across the aisle from him, with blonde hair, blue eyes, and the cutest freckles. Bob enjoyed teasing her and making her laugh. That childhood friendship eventually turned into love, and Bob and Barbara’s first date was to the senior prom.

Bob graduated from McLoud High School in 1951. He dreamed of becoming an architect and attended Oklahoma A&M, now Oklahoma State University, for a time. College was not for him, however, and he soon entered the workforce.

Bob married Barbara Carty Buzzard on April 3, 1953, in the home of the bride’s family in McLoud, Oklahoma. Around 1957, he purchased his first gas station in Shawnee, Oklahoma, and later built and operated two more. In approximately 1967, he purchased his 160-acre farm and began raising his beloved Santa Gertrudis cattle herd. The farm and his cattle were truly his heart and passion.

Bob was blessed with three beautiful daughters: Sheree, Kim, and Jana. Sheree and Robert Watson of Shawnee, Kim and Randy Grinnell of Edmond, and Jana and Stephen Van Horn of Edmond.

Bob is survived by his wife of 73 years, Barbara Buzzard. Along with his wife and daughters, he is survived by 10 grandchildren: Chad and Vanessa Grinnell of Fort Worth, Texas; Laura and Brandon Schmidt of Cashion, Oklahoma; Jake and Lacey Grinnell of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Amanda and Seb Clements of Shawnee, Oklahoma; Cole and Cory Grinnell of Richardson, Texas; Natalie and Jeff Lindley of Edmond, Oklahoma; Jennifer and Tyler Westover of Hawaii; S. Craig and Katie Van Horn of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Caleb and Claire Van Horn of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Seth and Cecilee Van Horn of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren; his brother-in-law, Terry and Janice Carty; his brother, Dick Buzzard; his sister, Margaret Bird; eight nieces; and three nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his brother, Ray Dean Buzzard of Fort Worth; his mother- and father-in-law, Grace and Ray Carty; his sisters-in-law, Mary Buzzard and Ojeta Webster; his brother-in-law, Jim Webster; and his brother-in-law, Jack Bird.

In his 92 years, Bob faithfully loved and nurtured his family and left them with a legacy of integrity and honesty. He was deeply loved and respected by his family and friends. The Buzzard family would like to thank his caregivers, who loved him and gave him a piece of their hearts: Vicky, Jimmie, and Ashley.

Family will greet friends at Walker Funeral Service on Thursday, May 14th from 5-7pm. Viewing for Bob will also be available on Friday, May 15th from 8 am to 7 pm. Services for Bob will be held at Walker Funeral Chapel on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in Shawnee, Oklahoma, with burial following at Dale Cemetery.

Barbara Lynn Po***ck

Barbara Lynn Po***ck passed peacefully into the presence of Jesus on the morning of April 29th, 2026, at the age of 74. Barbara was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on October 29, 1951, to Marion Kenneth Holeman & Shirley Lee Holeman.

Barbara is survived by her husband Kelley Po***ck; her children, Christa Newberry & husband Don, Lori Russell & husband Kyle, Don Sanders & wife Jennifer, Randy Sanders & wife Beth; grandchildren Austin & Kagen Donoho, Daniel & Heidi Newberry, Josie & Andrew Russell, Stacee, Donnie, Kaycee, Caleb & Mel Sanders, Anthony & Elijah Landes, Aaron Barnes and David Booth; great-grandchildren Theodore, Vivian & Harrison Donoho, Wyatt & Miles Davis and Salem, Lyric & Gwendolyn Sanders; and siblings Cynthia Anne Holeman & Kenneth David Holeman.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Andrew Sanders; husband, Garland Odell Edwards; son, Andrew Lynn Sanders, parents, Marion Kenneth & Shirley Lee Holeman; mother-in-law, Gloria Adon Sanders and brother, Albert Louis Holeman.

As a young child, Barbara enjoyed playing with her three siblings. She spoke fondly of riding bikes with her sister and horses with her brother KD. She also shared many special stories of their youngest brother, Little Louie, who passed away at the young age of seven.

From an early age, she embraced joy and laughter, choosing to see the good in every situation and encouraging others to do the same. It was her joyful approach to life, and the gift of the Holy Spirit within her that carried Barbara through the many ups and downs of her earthly journey, making her a bright spot of encouragement to others, and giving her a smile that lit up every room she entered.

In her most recent years, Barbara could be found with the man she loved and adored, her husband, Kelley Po***ck. To listen to her speak of him, he was the best man God ever made, and her only complaint was the hat he wore while gardening.

Barbara loved his garden. She would send texts to each of her children telling them to come get tomatoes, grapes and cucumbers, and while they were there, would they please admire the many, many flowers Kelley had planted just for her. Kelley will miss the evenings spent playing Wahoo on the game board he built just for her, the time on the back porch looking out over their property, and the way they did practically everything together. From singing specials together at their church to Walmart runs and visiting family, Barbara was always by Kelley’s side. She was his best friend, his number one cheerleader, and his one true love. Minus the gardening hat, she could find no fault in him… and he will miss her greatly.

Barbara’s life was a reminder to love, forgive, and see joy. Her children and grandchildren are blessed for having known the love of a woman who believed so passionately in embracing life, loving Jesus, and looking for reasons to forgive.

Rarely did they see her depressed or hopeless, and even less often did they witness her anger. She doted on them every chance she had and saw no faults when she looked at them. Barbara brought joy to every moment. She will be missed. And the part of each of us that only she could bring forth will be missed. To know Barbara was to love her and delight in her.

And if she could speak to you now, she would tell you that it was Jesus you were seeing all along, because a life lived for Him, in Him, and through Him, is a life well-lived and never wasted.

Thank you, Jesus, for the gift of Barbara, and for the reminder that we are called to live life to the fullest.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Walker Funeral Service during a time of visitation on Monday, May 4, 2026, from 5-7 pm. A funeral ceremony for Barbara will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at Living Waters Tabernacle in Meeker, OK. She will be laid to rest at a graveside ceremony at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, OK, at 2:30 pm following the funeral.

Casketbearers will be: Donnie Sanders, Caleb Sanders, Daniel Newberry, Austin Donoho, Jack Davis, Kagen Donoho, Don Sanders, Randy Sanders, Andrew Russell.

Rebecca Sue Pecore

Rebecca Sue Pecore, affectionately known as Becky, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2026, in her hometown of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Born on April 23, 1952 to Sylvester and Gloria D. (Ketchum) Scullawl, Becky's life was a tapestry of love, dedication, and spirited charm, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of her family and community.

Becky's early years were spent attending Bartlesville Schools and Copan High School, after which she answered the call of duty by joining the U.S. Air Force. This chapter of service demonstrated her deep commitment and strength, qualities she carried proudly throughout her life. In the mid-1980s, she delighted many with her baked goods at the Owl Shoppe in Shawnee, but perhaps her most cherished role was that of a skilled homemaker, a role she embraced with the care and devotion of a true matriarch.

A woman of spunky spirit and traditional values, Becky was often likened to "Betty Crocker" not just for her culinary prowess but also for her loving and caring nature. She married her husband, David E. Pecore, on June 30, 1975, and together they shared 28 years of marriage filled with mutual support and affection until his passing in 2003. Her enduring faith found expression in her long-time membership at St. Benedict's Catholic Church, where she devoted herself until her husband's death. Her nurturing heart extended beyond her immediate family as she provided late-life care for her husband's grandmother, a testament to her dedication to service and love.

Becky's joys were found in the daily support of her husband on their farm, supporting her family with her cooking and sewing, spending time with her beloved grandchildren, playing card games such as Nertz, Solitaire, and Uno, and singing-activities that brought warmth and laughter into her home. Her family remembers her not only for her talents and hospitality but for the loving, caring, yet feisty, presence she always was.

Survivors include her children: Linda Doane and husband David of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; Venus Hoffner of Royersford, Pennsylvania; David Pecore and wife Stevie of Chelsea, Oklahoma; and Jacob Pecore of Claremore, Oklahoma; siblings: Sylvester "Butch" Scullawl and wife Tammy of Ochelata, Oklahoma; Rita Buoy and husband David of Meeker, Oklahoma; Tonya Solomon and husband Dwight of Mineral Wells, Texas; Merry Rodriguez and husband Ray of Macomb, Oklahoma; and Terry Thomason and husband Darren of Ochelata, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Dakota Yott and wife Katie of Shawnee, Oklahoma; Wyatt Yott of Bartlesville; Jason Hoffner and wife Elizabeth of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Ian Hoffner of Royersford, Pennsylvania; Emily Hoffner of Sellersville, Pennsylvania; John Hoffner of Royersford, Pennsylvania; Patience Cooper and Payton Cooper of Shawnee, Oklahoma; Odin Sanders of Shawnee; Braden Brinlee, Calliegh Pecore, Jace Pecore, Talon Pecore, Kaydo Pecore, Lily Pecore, and grandson Boogie, all of Chelsea, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren: Nova Yott, Arrow Yott, Arlow Yott, and eagerly awaited the arrival of great-grandson Logan Blaize Cooper.

Becky was predeceased by her beloved parents, Sylvester and Gloria (Ketchum) Scullawl; her husband David E. Pecore; daughters Sherrie Pecore and Lissia Pecore; her infant son; brother Scott Scullawl; and grandsons Dalton Yott and Donald Cooper.

The family invites all who loved Becky to honor her memory at Walker Funeral & Cremation Service in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Viewing will be held on April 21, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a visitation with the family present from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow the next day, April 22, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at Walker Funeral & Cremation Service.
