Our residents got their hands messy and their creativity flowing with a fun clay oil diffuser project. They shaped their clay into all kinds of unique designs, from ornaments to small flat pieces for drawers, countertops, or bathrooms. Some even made theirs to hang from Christmas trees or door knobs.

After the clay dried, they painted and personalized each one, then added a few drops of their favorite fragrance oil. The clay naturally absorbs the scent, and when it fades, you simply refresh it with more fragrance. A perfect combination of creativity and aromatherapy that left our community smelling wonderful and feeling even better. 💜✨

💜 Getting ready for our Alzheimer’s Craft Fair has been just as much fun as the event itself. Residents rolled up their sleeves to decorate shirts and hats with iron-on fabrics, fabric paint, and their own creative touches. From the cutest prints to hand-sewn details, each piece is being made with love and care exclusively for the auction. We can’t wait to share these special creations with you at the fair!

Beads, color, and creativity filled the room as our residents explored the art of African-inspired beadwork. After learning about the history and beauty of this craft, they designed their own unique creations using vibrant beads and resin frames.

Every piece tells a story, full of personality, imagination, and pride. 💛 What a beautiful way to learn, create, and celebrate together.

Our monthly woodshop class is back in action! This time, residents created cutting board pocket organizers, choosing to give their boards a rustic, weathered look or a sleek, stained finish. To make it even sweeter, we surprised everyone with wooden spoons to pair with their projects. 🥄

Some residents crafted theirs as holiday gifts for loved ones, while others kept theirs falling in love with what they made. Each piece is as unique and meaningful as the hands that built it. 💛

Step aside, Gatsby, our residents threw their own 1920’s speakeasy night and it was the cat’s meow! ✨ A hidden door with a password set the mood, followed by a photo station decked out with handmade props: fake cigars, moonshine boxes, long cigarette extenders, pearls, and even “wanted” posters featuring our residents. (Betty P. was caught running an underground bingo with goldfish crackers 🐟🎲).

The night was brought to life with dazzling live entertainment from Katie, and while we had card tables ready, no one could resist the dance floor. 💃🕺
