Our Sharon Lane Halo Choir has been working hard, talking through sections of their song to get it just right, preparing for their performance at our Family Christmas Pie and Caroling Social this coming Saturday, Dec 13th. The sweetest choir ever and we are so proud of them for keeping a song in their hearts and a melody of joy on their lips. They are going to do great!!!

Our residents and families love having a place to have personal family Christmas celebrations. Families book the room for two hours to have their own family gathering when their loved one has difficulty leaving the building. It’s great for taking family photos and making sweet memories in this room we call our Winder Wonderland.

Everyone did an amazing job. They are all so beautiful. Thank you to all who participated by making wreaths, voting for the wreaths and enjoying the wreaths!

December brings with it the joy of Christmas, the crisp air and beauty of snow covered trees. There are songs of celebration that fill the air and lights shining brightly everywhere.
As we hustle for the sales and stocking stuffers to find, as we sip on hot cocoa and sing carols of all kind, as we wrap each gift and place them under the tree, let’s pause for a moment upon our knees.
Reflect upon the true reason for this beautiful season of joy, of the manger in a stable that cradled a baby boy. Then listen to the silence and whisper a prayer, thank God for the gift of His Son to people everywhere.
Let every knee bow and every voice lift in praise, with a glorious hallelujah to heaven be raised.
For this holiday is not about Santa in a sleigh, it’s about our Savior, Jesus, born on Christmas Day.

Every year we kick off our Christmas activities by having a wreath contest. It also helps complete our Christmas decorations. This video is a quick overview of the five wreaths in our competition.
To get a detailed look at each wreath go to the comments and there is a video of the individual wreaths.
After you watch the videos vote for your favorite wreath in the comments with only the number of the one you like best. One vote per person please. Voting ends November 30th at 7pm.
It’s going to be a tough competition this year. They are all amazingly good. Well done everyone!
