Ideal Health and Regenerative Medicine Regenerative Medicine Specialist located in Shawnee, KS Dr. Van Camp’s father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2011.

Ideal Health and Regenerative Medicine is a state-of-the-art medical practice located southwest of Kansas City in Shawnee, Kansas. Led by Dr. Kipp Van Camp, this tight-knit team of experienced health professionals are committed to maintaining one of the top regenerative medicine programs in the Midwest. The great work of Ideal Health and Regenerative Medicine exists today because a son desired to cure his father’s terminal illness. After traditional therapies yielded no benefits, the family sought alternative treatment options. Dr. Van Camp took his father to see a physician in Miami who offered adult-harvested stem cell therapy, stromal vascular fraction, and PRP therapy. The improvement from using the patient’s own bone marrow and fat tissue seemed to awaken Dr. Van Camp’s father from his previous state. The significant improvement lasted four to six months. Dr. Van Camp and his father returned to Miami for a second treatment, and brought his aunt, who had end-stage COPD. Once again, the results were astonishing. During this trip, Dr. Van Camp learned how to process a patient’s own stem cells. He found he could offer this as a compassionate therapy for debilitating chronic and terminal illnesses, or as context for medical research. He wrote a research protocol, sought approval, and began recruiting patients. It’s believed that the first adult-harvested stem cell procedure in the state of Kansas was performed by Dr. Van Camp on his own father. Since then, Dr. Van Camp has performed hundreds of treatments on over 250 patients affected by various chronic conditions, including:

Osteoarthritis
Multiple sclerosis
Parkinson's disease
COPD
Muscle-wasting neurologic disorders
Autism
At Ideal Health and Regenerative Medicine, patients are given the kind of therapy that helps them find hope for a greater quality of life.

Do PRP injections for hair restoration hurt?

Before the procedure, you receive a topical anesthetic to numb the treatment area on your scalp. Most patients report very minimal discomfort while the procedure is taking place. You may feel some soreness near the treatment area the following day.

What are stem cells?

The name “stem cells” actually refers to several different types of cells. The main distinction is their unique ability to reproduce many other types of cells. When used for the treatment of disease, stem cells actually go to work repairing, rebuilding, and rejuvenating tissues in your body.
