Thanks to a generous grant we received last year from the Kohler Foundation, Inc., we’ve been able to bring the Music & Memory program to life here at Pine Haven!

Through this program, we meet one-on-one to learn about the music people loved most in their earlier years, the songs that bring back joyful memories and a sense of comfort. Listening to these familiar tunes can spark meaningful moments, lift moods, and promote overall well-being.

As a Memory Care Center of Excellence, we’re always finding new ways to make life more joyful and engaging for those we serve.

Our staff got creative with their Halloween costumes on Friday, and residents loved it! So many fun outfits and lots of smiles all around. Thanks to our team for making the day extra special!

Here at Pine Haven, each of our households holds a monthly Resident Council meeting, giving residents a voice in their home. These gatherings are a chance to share opinions, bring forward suggestions, and talk about what matters most to them. It’s all part of making sure our residents feel heard, valued, and empowered in their daily lives.

Thanks to our generous community, gifts to Pine Haven’s annual appeal are helping close the $1.5 million gap in care costs not covered by Medicaid.

That’s an average of $106 per resident, per day, that ensures residents who’ve outlived their financial resources can continue to call Pine Haven home.

✨ Employee Spotlight: Mike- PM Nurse Supervisor ✨

Meet Mike, our PM Nurse Supervisor on the Haven Drive Campus! He was drawn to healthcare through a mix of personal passion and professional experience, including nursing, emergency services, and serving as a medic in the Air National Guard. Each step has taught him the importance of compassion, patience, and teamwork.

What Mike loves about Pine Haven is how we blend excellent care with a real sense of community. Residents are treated like family, staff go the extra mile, and faith and compassion guide everything we do. We’re so happy to have Mike on our team, contributing every day to a place where residents feel loved, respected, and supported.

We wrapped up one of our craft projects at REINS, Inc. Equine Assisted Services this week, and it was so much fun! Everyone picked their favorite outline, hammered in the nails, and got creative with some string art. We went around the room showing off each unique piece of artwork. Mary chose a purple saddle for her string art since purple is her favorite! To make it even more special, Five, one of the horses, modeled a real purple saddle for us.
