I graduated with a master's in history from UW- Madison (1993), PDC with an emphasis in educational identity psychology from UW-Green Bay (2003), post-graduate research in political psychology at UW-Milwaukee (2021) and am currently finishing a master's in clinical counseling from Lakeland University (x2026). I like to pair these approaches with a solution-focused therapy and reality therapy. I also have clients explore art therapy as it sheds light on topics we struggle to verbalize at times. I earned my Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh in December 2025. I currently hold Wisconsin training licenses as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-IT) and Substance Abuse Counselor (SAC-IT).

My clinical approach is client-centered and eclectic, grounded in the present moment while thoughtfully honoring the past experiences that shape each person’s identity. I work collaboratively with clients to address current challenges in a way that feels practical, meaningful, and responsive to their lived experiences. Justin R. Strahl graduated UW-Oshkosh, in 1995 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and from UW-Whitewater in 2001, with a Master’s Degree in Community Counseling. He has 17 years experience with individuals who suffer from persistent and chronic mental illness, as well as four years experience with those who are institutionalized.
