What is Myofunctional Therapy?
Myofunctional therapy is a specialized, exercise-based therapy that focuses on the muscles of the face, tongue, and mouth. It helps retrain improper oral habits and supports:
• Proper tongue posture
• Nasal breathing
• Improved sleep and airway health
• TMJ relief
• Support for orthodontic stability
• Speech and swallowing function
It’s often life-changing for individuals struggling with mouth breathing, sleep-disordered breathing, clenching/grinding, jaw pain, orthodontic relapse, and chronic tension.
We are honored to collaborate with Gina and Ashley to expand this essential service within our holistic, integrative approach to wellness.

Nasal breathing filters and warms the air. Allergens live in your body for hours with nasal breathing. With mouth breathing they live in your body for months. Get ahead of this allergy season. Don’t suffer with allergies or watch your child suffer. Let us help you work on how to be a nasal breather.

Mouth breathing is natural when lifting or exercising but can cause health issues if done excessively. It is particularly harmful to children as it can affect their facial development.

Mouth breathing can develop due to various reasons and become a postural habit. Below are the most common causes:
😮‍💨 Allergies
😮‍💨 Thumb or finger-sucking habit
😮‍💨 Enlarged tonsils or adenoids
😮‍💨 Chronic nasal congestion
😮‍💨 Respiratory infection

Did you know that sleep apnea affects millions of people worldwide? It is estimated that over 20 million Americans alone suffer from this condition. 😮

Myofunctional therapy is an effective way of treating sleep apnea by strengthening oral muscles. This therapy has successfully re-patterned and strengthened weak muscles to ease the symptoms. 💤
