Dear Summit Family,
Do Hard S**t With Love.
Writing this message is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. The loss of Chris has left a pain that words will never fully capture. But in the middle of that grief, I keep coming back to all of you.
Thank you for the years of love, support, sweat, laughter, and community you gave to Chris, our family, and to The Summit. You helped him build his dream. You gave him a space where he could be fully who he was, passionate, fun, authentic, and deeply committed to helping people live healthier lives.
Chris knew the impact he made. I truly believe that. He felt it in the relationships, the stories, the transformations, and the community that grew both in and out of those gym walls & outdoor spaces. He told me.
His legacy was never just about a gym.
It was about showing up. Doing hard things. Being love in the world.
Please continue to live that legacy.
Keep moving your body.
Keep seeking mental, emotional, and spiritual health.
Keep reaching for community.
And please don’t make wellness complicated or another challenge in life to overcome, we all have enough of those already.
Just get outside. Move your body. Do what feels good. Find your people. Support one another.
The decision to close the doors of The Summit Health & Fitness has come with significant grief and overwhelming pain for me. But I also know this: closing the doors does not close the dream, and it does not, and cannot change his legacy.
And lastly, never forget the message Chris believed in so deeply:
It was never about the destination.
It was always about the journey.
If you want to stand at The Summit, you must endure the climb. This climb is a real bitch, but it is a climb none-the-less. One foot in front of the other. One breath after the other.
Do the hard s**t.
With love and gratitude,
Kyleen Flores & family.
