Check out this fabulous family-friendly Halloween celebration this coming weekend -- October 11 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon -- at Above & Beyond Children's Museum! Our very own Miss Janis will be there, handing out treats and toothbrushes to all the kiddos. Stop in and say "BOO!"

Join us for a family-friendly Halloween bash next Saturday October 11 from 9 AM — 12 PM! 🎃🦇✨ Come dressed in your favorite costume (or just as you are—costumes are encouraged but not required) and enjoy a morning full of festive fun. Kids can explore art-making activities, visit trick-or-treat stations, and even boogie down at our mini dance party.

Happy Birthday🎂🥳 to Stephanie, one of our outstanding Dental Hygienists! We are blessed to have her crazy creative brain on our team. In addition to exceptional dental care for our little patients, Stephanie is one of the magic-makers who creates and builds remarkable play spaces for the kids (maybe you were lucky enough to experience some of her work at our Pirate Playland this past summer!!). Watch and see what wonders she and her fellow magicians will cook up this coming year!

Today, we celebrated the end of our busy summer season (you know -- the kids are off school, and our schedule is full!) with lunch and a fun team building event based on the clever, creative, smile-inducing, superb British game show, Taskmaster.

To earn points from our Taskmaster (a.k.a. Shannon), Team BCD had to think outside the box as they completed tasks, some of which included:
- presenting the "Best T-shirt" (the number of staff who sucked up to the Taskmaster with their designs was hilarious!😅);
- finding hats that are not hats (Janis turned her full purse upside down and wore it as a hat!😆);
AND
- going to a local business to find something recognizable from 100 feet away😳.
Kudos to the ingenuity of Team BCD who brought back:
- a Happy Meal box from McDonald's at Memorial Plaza (iconic!)
- a luggage cart from the Super Eight hotel
- a grocery cart from the local gas station
AND an actual brand new car driven by a salesman from Van Horn KIA of Sheboygan !!! 😂😂😂

We had a ton of laughs, ate some of our favorite foods (Luigi's Italian Restaurant Sheboygan and Johnston's Bakery, the Official Cookie of Bullard Children's Dentistry), and made some more incredible memories with our beloved work family. Cheers to Team BCD for another great summer!

It's finally happening🥳! The much-needed improvements to the Wilgus Avenue and North Taylor Drive intersection start on Monday, so give yourself a few extra minutes to get to our office over the next few months.
Here are the details from City of Sheboygan Department of Public Works :

🚧 Road Closure – Wilgus Avenue at the North Taylor Drive Intersection 🚧

Wilgus Avenue at the North Taylor Drive intersection will be closed to through traffic beginning Monday, September 15, 2025, through mid-November 2025. This closure is necessary to accommodate infrastructure improvements associated with the intersection reconstruction.

This project will consist of storm sewer improvements, roadway improvements, new ADA compliant crosswalks at the intersection, and new traffic signals. Eastbound Wilgus Avenue will be widened to accommodate a full width right turn lane.

This project will be constructed in two (2) phases.

ℹ️ Phase 1 (Beginning September 15):

▪️ Wilgus Avenue will be closed with no access to North Taylor Drive.
▪️ North Taylor Drive will be reduced to one lane of through traffic in each direction with no access to Wilgus Avenue.

ℹ️ Phase 2 (Beginning mid-October):

▪️ Wilgus Avenue will have access with a right turn to North Taylor Drive only. Through movements will still be prohibited.
▪️ North Taylor Drive will remain open with one through lane in each direction and with right turn access to Wilgus Avenue only. Left turn movements will still be prohibited.

All work and traffic impacts are weather-dependent and subject to change.

The City of Sheboygan appreciates your patience and cooperation during this project. For everyone’s safety, please slow down and exercise caution in all work zones.

Team BCD celebrity sighting: MOOSE🐾, Insurance Specialist Becky's family dog, visited our office and shared his famous "aaaaaa-ROOOOOOOOOO!" song! He is an absolute doll, and we would love to have him as our office therapy dog. Maybe you'll get lucky and see him next time he is in for a visit!

👶👧👦In service of children, we are raising up the Lakeshore Regional Child Advocacy Center (LRCAC🌻) in August. If you are able, please help us fill their Wish List collection box so they can successfully provide vital services. The box will be in our office ONLY until August 28.

🌻Lakeshore CAC is the 15th child advocacy center in the state, offering forensic interviews and advocacy to children and families affected by abuse. Their mission is to ensure all children’s voices are heard, protected, and valued.

WISH LIST:

• Gas, grocery, or fast-food gift cards (no more than $50 per gift card)
• Individually packaged snacks - goldfish, fruit snacks, pop tarts
