Vista Care understands each person's need for autonomy and self-determination. Where barriers exist, we believe a responsive service provider must work creatively to challenge limiting environments while encouraging the individual's ability to make decisions for themselves. History of the Company
TLC Homes, Inc., was established in 1994 when Tim Frey and his family invited two adults with disabilities to share their home in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. In reflecting on TLC Homes’ growth over the last 24 years, in 2018, we changed the company’s name to Vista Care. Our new name captures the dynamic, progressive outreach that we as a company have achieved as a premier provider of specialized supportive services to individuals in need in Wisconsin. Though the name has changed, it is the same family-based focus and attention to care that continues to be the driving force of Vista Care. Vista Care provides residential, day services, and in-home supports to individuals with intellectual, developmental, physical and behavioral health challenges. Today, Vista Care is a leading service and support organization that is proud to serve a diverse population in more than 43 programs located throughout the Wisconsin Lakeshore, Fox Valley and Central Wisconsin areas.
Vista Care has demonstrated a continued commitment to quality and excellence through our focus on exemplary staff training and adherence to evidence-based, best practices. The staff includes professionals at all levels with extensive experience and knowledge in providing community living supports to the individuals we serve. Many of the administrative personnel have significant direct service experience as well as administrative and managerial backgrounds.
Tim Frey’s vision and commitment for providing mindful, progressive, supportive services in a home-environment remains steadfast as Vista Care continues to expand its services to meet the needs of individuals throughout Wisconsin communities. Vista Care looks to the future by continuing its commitment to set new standards through establishing and operating model programs and conducting applied research in best practice procedures to benefit each of the individuals we serve.
