Falls are one of the leading causes of injury among older adults, but many can be avoided with the right approach. Age-related changes like reduced strength, balance issues, and vision challenges can increase risk, but simple lifestyle adjustments and awareness make a significant difference.

Staying active is key—regular exercise helps improve strength, coordination, and mobility. Creating a safer home environment by removing clutter, improving lighting, and installing support features like handrails can also greatly reduce hazards. Reviewing medications and health conditions with a doctor further ensures that dizziness or instability is properly managed.

With the right precautions, seniors can maintain independence while staying safe and confident in their daily routines.
