May is here, marking the start of Mental Health Awareness Month and there’s no more powerful way to begin than by coming together for the Su***de Awareness Convoy happening tomorrow, May 2.
This incredible event, organized by the Warner family, is now in its sixth year in memory of Nicole Warner, beloved daughter of Deenice and Chris Warner. What began as a deeply felt idea, when Deenice, a driver for Nelson Truck Lines, reached out to her trucking community to raise awareness has grown into one of the largest su***de awareness convoys in the nation.
Over the years, this movement has united the trucking community and our region to shine a light on the reality of su***de, reduce stigma, and connect individuals with vital resources. Proceeds from the event directly support su***de awareness programming through our organization, which serves more than 10,000 individuals each year.
We invite you to be part of this meaningful moment. Gather your family, make signs, and join us in showing support along the interstate from Oostburg to Manitowoc. Join us after for an all wheel show at Manitowoc Fairgrounds with food, music, raffles, and connection. Let’s stand together and remind the trucking community and everyone impacted that they are not alone.
