Congratulations to our very own, Niki Steinhardt DNP! Not only is she a star taking care of patients...but she shines in her community as well. Niki has organized "The Gift of Life" weekend in Plymouth for several years. This year had the largest turn out for the 5k, and the fun continues all weekend. Check out the link to find out how you can support this wonderful event!

Found this beauty today! Why does 2016 seem like a simpler time? The good news? Even though a lot has changed, the messaging still holds true.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. You may see our staff wearing green ribbons in a show of support for heightened awareness to the importance of caring for your mental health as it can correlate directly to your overall physical health as well. Please don't shy away from conversations with your physician or nurse practitioner about anxiety, depression, grief, addiction, or anything that may be impacting your quality of life. We want you to be healthy in all regards!

We can't believe it either! After 31+ years with SIMA, Dr. Schleevogt has decided to retire. His last day of seeing patients will be this Friday, April 26th. Selfishly, we are sad to see him go but we also want to celebrate his career and wish him the best with the next chapter in his life. Like all of our doctors, this was his very first job out of residency (if you can't tell from his first headshot!) - which means he must've thought this was a pretty great place to work. 🥰 His current NP, Monica DeMuth, is going to continue supporting his patients as they select a new physician. His previous NP, Rachael Falle, is also returning to clinic two days a week to help make this a smooth transition for everyone. We are on the search for a physician that believes in independent, local and cost effective care to join the practice at some point in the near future. 🤞

From all of us at the office, Charlie, you will be missed. We don't worry about you being bored in retirement with all of your hobbies! You're invited to all of the holiday parties in perpetuity. THANK YOU!

Winter really arrived today! We're open if you have an appointment and haven't already been contacted to cancel/reschedule. However, we're letting the majority of our staff head out early this afternoon to help with their commute. Our normal evening and weekend phone coverage will be in place starting at 1pm. We'll be open and ready for phone calls at 8am on Monday morning. (but please call 911 if you have a medical emergency in the meantime!!)

Stay safe!

HSHS is restoring our Epic software today and we are slowly gaining access to patient charts. MyChart messaging is working again as well if you prefer to contact your provider with that option. Thank you again and again for your patience. (Now we have to try and pry the paper out of people's hands and return to our electronic files!)

09/06/2023

Unfortunately, the ongoing outage of our Epic patient software continues. Please note that we do not have any access to MyChart messages so it is important for you to remember that you cannot contact your physicians or nurse practitioners with that technology right now.

Additionally, if you have an appointment in the next few weeks, please plan on bringing in the medications you are currently taking so we can confirm with 100% confidence your existing prescriptions with our other resources.

We want to extend a big thank you to all of our understanding patients who have to confirm their insurance and date of birth with us a million times and never get annoyed. It is appreciated. Finally, thank you to our staff! You are all doing absolutely AMAZING. The "old dogs" who love paper are definitely teaching our younger staff some tricks of the trade. THANK YOU!
