Memo for United HealthCare Patients: Some UHC patients have received letters stating that Helen Keller Hospital may no longer be in their network.
We have spoken with Keller’s administration, and they are actively negotiating with UHC. According to Keller's administration, all United patients should continue coming to Keller as usual, and there will be no changes to their care or cost.

Dr. Galen Harold Kiser, 76, Sheffield, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024. Visitation will be Friday, May 31, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Truman Sutton officiating. Interment will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens, Tuscumbia.��Dr. Kiser was a veteran of the US Marine Corps, Registered Pharmacist, Instructor, and Author. His 56+ years of diverse experience included 37+ years in the medical field, most recently as a DO – Emergency Medicine with Shoals Primary Care.��He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Whitman and Mosethel “Bid” Kiser; brother, Eddie Kiser; and sisters, Doris Ann Kiser and Norma Jean Kiser.��Dr. Kiser is survived by his wife, Diane Faust-Kiser; stepson, Jordan Faust; and beloved niece and nephew, Morgan Maxwell and Paul Maxwell.��Pallbearers will be Anthony Tomlinson, Billy Carmack, Mike Bacon, Michael Klyce, Melvin Darby, and Blake Thompson.

We are saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Dr. Galen Kiser, D.O. He passed away Monday May 27th at home due to a brief illness. He worked with Shoals Primary Care for many years doing what he loved taking care of his patients.
