When I was a child, we were very poor growing up...even tho my single Mother worked very hard, we relied on food banks at times to just eat ...we relied on some government help to just survive....we relied on second hand and donations to be clothed at times...one night...before Christmas...there was a knock on the door to the trailer my Mother's friend let us live in...to my shock...people brought box after box until you could hardly walk in the living room...full of food, clothes, toys...I remember how I felt...the joy that welled up in my heart...the excitement to go through each box to see what was in them was more exciting than any gift wrapped present...I will never ever forget that night...and it leads me to want to do the same where I can! So to those that donate...you are making a world of a difference and the little girl in me thanks you! ✨
