Tomorrow, Friday, January 17th, at 12:15 pm Medical Associates will celebrate the life of Dr. Brian Richards. This event will be in the lobby of the main office in Sheffield, and it is open to the public.

There will also be a memorial book available for anyone to share a memory or words of love for the family. This will be available through Friday, January 24th. 🤍🤍🤍

As friends and family gather to celebrate the life of Dr. Brian Richards this weekend, Helen Keller Hospital remembers and honors the years of dedicated service he provided to the Shoals community. Dr. Richards was a remarkable physician and strong advocate for his patients, and will be greatly missed by many. 🤍

Dr. Brian Clark Richards, 47, of Princeton, West Virginia, died Friday, December 20, 2024, at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Born November 20, 1977, in Bluefield, West Virginia, he was the son of Ronald Ray Richards and his wife Pansy Wert Richards of Princeton and the late Mary Kathryn Clark Richards.

Brian graduated from Princeton High School, Mountain State College, and Lake Erie School of Osteopathic Medicine. From 2012 to 2022, he was a physician partner with Medical Associates of the Shoals, PC, where he cared for thousands of patients in the Shoals area. He was also an active medical staff member at Helen Keller Hospital.

Brian was loved and admired by his colleagues, work family, and patients. He was named Physician of the Year by Times Daily Reader’s Choice in 2016 and 2017 and was recognized as a top physician multiple times thereafter. He showed a true passion for helping people by developing and maintaining relationships throughout his professional career. This is also true in his personal life. In addition to his father Ronald and step-mother Pansy, he is survived by his wife Jasmine Patterson Richards; four sons, Alexander Richards, Ethan Richards, Drew Richards, and Alexander Sears; one brother Jeffrey R. Richards and wife Beth Faulkner, along with his niece, Peyton Richards and nephews, Jaxson and Weston Richards.

In celebrating the life of Brian, a time of sharing and gathering will be held Saturday, January 18th, 2025, at the Memorial Funeral Directory on Athens Road in Princeton, West Virginia from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM (www.memorialfd.com/obituary/brian-richards).
