Westin's Scoliosis/Spinal Fusion Updates

Westin has an appointment coming up on September 2 for X-rays and a physician visit to see how his scoliosis is shaping since surgery. Last visit, it had improved. Lets pray it continues to improve and not worsen.

Westin's dad took him to his 1 year post surgical appointment today. His curvature went from a 38 to a 32 😁👍incision looks great 👍 and he's now 5ft10in, he gained another 1/2 inch and 9lbs since surgery! Goes back in September! All around great news!

Update: Westin's doing great! He has a 1 year post surgery appt March 25th. I don't anticipate any scoliosis surgery yet because of his growing pattern. It'll be one year on February 19th.

Westin received a great report today. He is the same on curvature from February and grew a half inch. His surgical area is healing like it should. We go back in March.

Westin has his 7 month post op appt September 17th. The recovery for the spinal fusion actually has gone pretty easy for him. His scoliosis part of his back is still painful especially when he over does it. That's saying a lot since he's got a high pain tolerance. Hoping and praying for God news at his appt. I'm not sure if we will discuss his next surgery yet or not.

Westin is almost 6 months post surgery! Lately the curve in his spine has been causing pain. The surgery spot doesn't really bother him anymore. He is up to the ability to lift 20lbs, biking and walking, and working a part time job!! He's got a good scar! I'm so proud of him. I know he basically lives in some type of pain daily. He's determined that's for sure. We go back to the Dr September 17th. He'll have xrays and an appointment with the team to discuss his healing stage and where his curve is at now. Scar as of today
