A little recap of the week. Monday was a day filled with joy as we had manicures, played co****le and pitch, truly a day to remember.

Tuesday was a celebration of St Patrick’s day with a party, Catholic Mass, Bingo, and a lively game of pitch.

Wednesday brought us a new game called cheese head, courtesy of Trisha-DON and Rachael from activities, which was super funny and a huge hit with the residents, and we have the pictures to prove it. This was followed by a game of crazy 8’s and sevens, where our residents had a blast picking on each other. We also made no-sew blankets with Gail Baker, a new experience for most of our residents, who thoroughly enjoyed it and can’t wait to do it again. To top it all off, we played pitch in the evening.

Thursday was a blessed day with Bible study from the Shelbina Baptist Church. After lunch, we completed our book club with a great read, The Help, and are now looking forward to watching the movie. A few residents even managed to squeeze in another game of pitch. This evening Caroline Bode brought a group in to preform for everyone during supper what a treat.

Friday, today, was a day of community and connection as we took some residents out for coffee and donuts, and then enjoyed them together in the community room, learning new things about each other and having a blast. We followed this up with bingo and soft served ice cream, and some of us even got to enjoy the beautiful weather outside.

We are truly blessed to have the opportunity to do this job every day.

March 18th is truly unforgettable!!! We had an absolute blast playing cheese head, and this morning's laughter was contagious, echoing throughout the entire building, creating a joyful atmosphere.
This afternoon, Gail Baker graciously shared her material and expertise, teaching us all how to create no-sew blankets, and everyone was deeply grateful not only to learn this new skill but also to take their creations home as a lasting keepsake.
Later in the day, we had another thrilling game of pitch, and this group's enthusiasm and competitive spirit were truly inspiring.

Happy St Patrick’s Day!!!
Yesterday we had a fun St Patty’s day party with mint chocolate chip milkshakes green punch cookies and party mixes play some trivia. Later on in the day we had bingo of course with soft serve ice cream thanks to our kitchen supervisor Mavrick Downs after bingo we had a very competitive game of pitch going all in all I say it was a pretty fantastic day. Here’s a few little glimpses.

Our monthly birthday party was filled with so much joy, laughter, and beautiful live music! 🎶 The singing was absolutely wonderful and truly brightened the day for our residents.

Working at Baptist Homes is truly a blessing. Every day we get the opportunity to spend time with some of the most amazing residents who have the biggest hearts and the best stories to share.

Our residents mean so much to us. Their smiles, laughter, and the little moments we share together make our days brighter and remind us why we love what we do. It’s more than just a job — it’s a family.

We are so thankful to be part of such a special place and to care for such wonderful people. ❤️
