I’ve been on both sides of the equation when it comes to back pain and deadlifts.

In college, I injured my back while deadlifting. It took years to understand what actually led to that pain.

After becoming a physical therapist, I found the keys that allowed me to return to pain-free deadlifts.

These same principles are what I use every day to help patients like you get back to lifting with confidence and without pain.

Butt wink during the squat isn't necessarily a bad thing.

It's usually a sign that we aren't getting the proper mobility from other joints first, so the body compensates through the low back.

Will your back explode if you keep squatting through butt wink? No

Should it make us ask more questions about why it's happening? Yes
