As the weather warms up, itâs time to tackle outdoor choresâbut donât forget to take care of your body while you clean up your yard and home!
đŞ TOP PHYSICAL THERAPY TIPS FOR SPRING CLEAN-UP
1. Warm Up First
Before raking, lifting, or digging, spend 5â10 minutes warming up with light movement like walking or gentle stretching.
2. Lift Smart
⢠Bend at your knees, not your back
⢠Keep items close to your body
⢠Avoid twisting while lifting
3. Pace Yourself
Spring clean-up is a marathon, not a sprint! Take breaks every 20â30 minutes to avoid overuse injuries.
4. Switch Tasks Often
Alternate between activities (raking, planting, lifting) to prevent repetitive strain on the same muscles.
