🌸💜 When you walk through our front door, you’ll be greeted by this gorgeous handmade wreath, gifted to our Activities Department! 🏡✨ A very sweet lady generously made 10 wreaths and donated them to Shelby Manor, and we are beyond thankful for the time, love, and effort she put into creating these beautiful gifts. 💕🎀

Saturday, September 20th | 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Two Ways to Take Part:
Donate Items – Bring gently used items to Shelby Manor. All proceeds support our Activities Department for upcoming holiday events.

Reserve a Spot – Rent a space in our parking lot for $20, sell your own items, and keep your profits!

Our residents will also be running a Lemonade Stand during the Yard Sale—stop by for a refreshing drink and help support our Activities Department!

✨Bingo Store was a huge hit today at Shelby Manor! Our residents not only practiced real-life skills like shopping and paying with play money they earned, but they also got to experience the joy of independence and choice. 🛍️💵

One of the sweetest moments was seeing residents share what they had—those with extra “money” stepped in to buy treats for friends who didn’t have enough. ❤️ This wasn’t something we taught, it was an act of pure kindness and compassion. Watching them care for one another in such a thoughtful way was absolutely precious. Moments like these remind us how beautiful community and friendship truly are. 🌸

☀️ This morning’s outdoor exercise was full of smiles, giggles, and laughter! Our residents had a blast playing ball games out on the front porch. The cool breeze was such a refreshing break from the summer heat, and we even had some new friends join us—everyone made them feel so welcome! 💛🌸

🎉 Later on, we gathered for a crowd-pleaser—BINGO! Residents always light up when it’s time to play, and we were so happy to welcome our visitors who joined in on the fun. We truly love having guests at Shelby Manor, and our residents enjoy every moment spent together! 🥰🎲

🍬 Don’t forget—we are still collecting bagged candy for our upcoming fall festivities! Drop your donations off in the front office—we can’t wait to celebrate together! 🎃👻🍭

Halloween is creeping up on us here at Shelby Manor, and our residents are SO excited to welcome lots of little trick-or-treaters this year! 🧙‍♀️🕷️🕸️

We are starting our CANDY COLLECTION now, and we need your help! 🍭🍫 If you’re able, please consider donating a bag (or two!) of Halloween candy to help us make this spooky night extra sweet! 🧡

September 1st is Labor Day, and it also kicks off National Service Dog Month! 🐕💙

At Shelby Manor, we would love to celebrate this special month by giving our residents the opportunity to learn more about service animals and the amazing work they do.

👉 If you or someone you know has a service dog and would be interested in bringing them in for a short information session/visit, we would be so grateful! Our residents would absolutely love it. 🐶💖
