We had the sweetest visitors at Shelby Manor today! 💕 The Dolly Girls hosted Bingo for our residents, and let’s just say — smiles, laughter, and fun filled the room! Everyone had the BEST time playing and enjoying each other’s company.

They even spoiled our residents with adorable treat bags and yummy cupcakes! 🧁 Our hearts are so full, and we are beyond thankful for these amazing ladies who took time out of their day to come spread love and joy to our residents.

We already can’t wait to have them back in March! Thank you Julie, Lisa and Sherrie, for your kindness, your hearts, and all the love you share with our Shelby Manor family — we appreciate you more than you know! 💖

Attention Family & Friends:

We’re excited to announce that on Thursday, March 19th, Shelby Manor will be hosting our much-anticipated Bean Auction — one of our residents’ favorite events!

If you’re able, we kindly ask for donations of snack and food items to help make this event possible. Donations can be dropped off ON or BEFORE Tuesday, March 17th. Some resident favorites include 2-liter sodas, cookies, candy, snack foods, Little Debbie cakes, chips, donuts, and similar treats.

This is a FREE event for all residents — no money is required to participate. Residents will “purchase” items using dried beans (provided by us). Your donations help ensure that every resident, including those who may not have access to extra treats outside of our kitchen, gets to fully enjoy this special activity.

Thank you for helping us create a fun and inclusive experience for everyone. Please help us spread the word! We truly appreciate your support! ❤️

We were so excited to welcome the snow today! Our residents had the chance to see it, touch it, and even taste it, engaging several of our five senses in a fun and meaningful way.

This simple activity brought so much joy—watching their faces light up and seeing those smiles made it all so worth it. It also sparked wonderful conversations as they reminisced about snow days from their younger years. Hearing those stories is truly one of the best parts of what we do. 🥰

Does anyone happen to have fold-up metal chairs they’d be willing to donate? Before purchasing new ones, we wanted to reach out to our amazing community first 😊

Having extra chairs truly makes a difference—it allows families to gather comfortably, sit together at tables, and spend meaningful time with their loved ones during private events or special gatherings in our building. These moments mean so much, and we’re so grateful for any support that helps make them possible.

As inclement weather approaches, Shelby Manor would like to reassure our residents, families, and community that we are fully prepared for continued operations. Our team has taken the necessary precautions to ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of our residents. Our management team will be on-site overnight and throughout the storm to assist as needed and ensure the safety and comfort of our residents. Today, we gathered to celebrate and honor the beautiful life of Dan “Steve” Johnson. It was a meaningful service filled with love, memories, and gratitude for the life he lived and the joy he brought to those around him.

Steve will be deeply missed and will forever hold a special place in our hearts here at Shelby Manor. His presence, stories, and spirit will never be forgotten. We are thankful to have shared so many moments with him and to have been part of his journey. 🤍

Our residents had an absolute blast playing Balloon Badminton today! Armed with pool noodles and two balloons, they worked together to keep the balloons off the ground. Lots of laughs, teamwork, communication, and movement filled the room! This game turned into a fantastic workout without anyone even realizing it — fun and fitness at its best! 💪😊

We rang in the New Year with a little party and a whole lot of fun! 🥳🎊 From our exciting countdown to plenty of laughs and smiles, our residents truly enjoyed welcoming the New Year together. ⏰🎈
