March is colon cancer awareness month! They have just made colon cancer the second deadliest, cancer! Main Street Minor Medical will be doing colon cancer screenings via blood test! Call to schedule our stop by on March 9 from 9 AM to 2 PM! You must be between the ages of 45 and 85 to qualify.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

Warming Shelter Open: January 23 – January 29

Due to an extended forecast of dangerously cold nighttime temperatures, an emergency warming shelter will be open January 23 through January 29 at Fair Haven Baptist Church (FHBC), located at 2726 Highway 231 North.

The shelter will operate each evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 AM.

An evening meal, a safe place to sleep, and protection from the extreme cold will be provided. Each morning, guests will receive a hot breakfast sandwich or light breakfast before departing for the day. All individuals in need of relief from the dangerous cold are welcome.

Additional freezing temperatures are currently forecast for January 30–31. A location for those dates is still being secured, as FHBC facilities are already committed. An additional announcement will be made as more information becomes available.

Transportation Assistance:
Limited transportation is available. Anyone needing a ride to FHBC should contact John at 931-639-3321.

Designated pickup locations (approximate times):

Soup Kitchen parking lot – 5:30 PM

Shelbyville–Bedford County Public Library parking lot – 5:40 PM

Gateway Church parking lot (red light driveway) – 5:50 PM

I cannot stress this enough with my ladies! When I behoove you to get in the gym and lift heavy stuff repeatedly, this is exactly where I am coming from! Not only are you regenerating bone but you are enabling your body to heal and “carry” you in the long run. 💪🏼 💫

Public Service Announcement-
In response to the extended forecast of nightly dangerous temperatures during the period of Nov 27th – Nov 29th, an emergency warming center will be opening at Fair Haven Baptist
Church (FHBC) 2726 Hgwy 231 N beginning Nov 27th. Hours of operation will normally be from 6PM until 8AM.

An evening meal and a place to sleep out of the frigid temperatures is provided. In the morning a hot breakfast sandwhich or light breakfast is provided before people depart for
the day. All needing a respite from the dangerous cold are welcomed. Anyone needing transportation to FHBC may call John at 931-639-3321 for information about a ride.
Transportation is limited so three designated pick up points have been set: Soup Kitchen parking lot, Probation Office parking lot next to the dam and Gateway Church parking lot at the red light driveway. Pick up will begin approximately 530 PM.
The warming center is scheduled to continue operation nightly Nov27th through Nov 29th. If you have any questions about the
