She is a board certified family nurse practitioner as well as diabetes educator, and enjoys working with patients to manage their diabetes with not only the latest medications, but also with dietary and lifestyle changes that fit their needs and individual situations. Women's health care services such as cervical cancer screening, treatment of painful, heavy or irregular periods as well as family planning are available. Cervical cancer screening and prevention is a special focus for Kenda, and was the topic of her doctoral dissertation. An article on cervical cancer screening practices which she authored was the front cover feature of the respected peer-reviewed medical journal Clinical Advisor in December of 2015.
