Not a PB&J kind of jelly but... white jelly fungus! Tremella fuciformis produces white gelatinous fruiting bodies. It's usually found on dead branches of deciduous trees, whether attached or recently fallen. This one was photographed in Meltzer Woods.

If you've been to Meltzer Woods after a rain, you know how wet some parts of the trail can get. Ten additional boardwalks (as of last year) are there because of this crew! Eagle Scout Trevor Jenkins (standing, in green) led BSA Troop 250 in installing the boardwalks in the preserve. The project was completed in 2023, but Trevor just officially wrapped up the requirements. Join us in thanking the troop and congratulating Trevor in attaining his Eagle Scout rank. Thanks also to Scoutmaster Scott Barker for his guiding hand in this and many other Meltzer Woods projects!
