There’s something special happening in our gardens at Shelby Farms! Our memory care residents have been enjoying time outdoors planting vegetables in our raised garden beds—creating not only a harvest for the future, but beautiful memories in the present.
With the helping hands of Mike, our Director of Plant Operations, residents are getting their hands in the soil, feeling the sunshine, and reconnecting with meaningful activities. Gardening offers so many benefits, like sensory engagement, joy, and a wonderful sense of accomplishment. We can’t wait to watch these gardens grow!
