Yankee Livestock - Helder Beef farm We are a small family farm! We enjoy raising our own Angus cross cattle and sell them by the 1/4, 1/2 or whole steer. They are delicious!

We grain feed our beef with a special blend of grains and pellets to ensure they get the proper nutrition.

Helder Beef

We raise our beef on our home farm. We give them as much shelled corn and pellets as they want as well as hay. This is what makes Helder beef delicious and gives the meat fantastic marbling. We take pride in the fact we do not use any steroids or antibiotics which are commonly used in commercial beef operations.

We raise our beef steers from 200 lbs calfs up to their ideal butcher weight, this is a processes that takes roughly 14 months. We base our prices on hanging weight of our beef. The hanging weight is generally 150 lbs -200 lbs and you end up with about 100- 125 lbs of freezer meat. A 1/4 beef will feed a family of 4 for about a year. However, we are a family of 4 and go through it much quicker because it is so delicious!

We process all our meat at Byron Center meats. They do an amazing job cutting our beef and vacuum sealing each package to your specifications.
