Why take the tour???
Last week Grandbrook Memory Care of Greenwood hosted a Virtual Dementia Tour at their beautiful community. The impact of this life changing simulation is so powerful. Below are some comments from those who took the tour:
“I can’t imagine not being able to do simple things for myself.”
“It made me feel kinda off, just not myself.”
“Taking the tour gave me another perspective and a better understanding.”
Seniors Helping Seniors appreciated them hosting the tour however, it was the care that was seen provided to their clients throughout the day that impressed us most. This life changing simulation that allows you to “walk in the shoes of someone living with dementia” impacted even the most seasoned caregiver. Support someone with dementia by taking the tour!

A simple act of kindness can impact those to whom are receiving the jesture more than we can ever imagine. Seniors Helping Seniors has the absolute privilege to help community organizations that are committed to make that impact through the programs they provide. Our organization believes in caring for the community whether it’s Franklin Union Needham Township Trustee food pantry, Senior Stocking Project of Shelby County or Johnson County Senior Services “Seniors Still Believe “ giving trees, what we do for our seniors make a difference!! It can be as little as a stocking full of goodies, a can of Spagettio’s or taking a tag from a tree, we all can make the difference in someone’s day!

At Seniors Helping Seniors In-Home Care we match active, loving caregivers who are at least 50 years of age with seniors in their community who can use a little extra help to stay safe and comfortable in their own homes. Services include light housekeeping; errands and doctors appointments; meal preparation; assistance with bathing, dressing, and personal care; and respite care to give the primary caregiver a much-needed break.We begin our services with a free in-home assessment, and one of our managers always accompanies the caregiver to the first visit to make introductions. For our caregivers, this work is not just a job, it’s an opportunity for service and building new relationships! We are a licensed personal care agency and operate under the authority of the Indiana Department of Health.
