April is Parkinson’s Awareness Month—a time to learn, support, and stand alongside those navigating this journey. 💙
Parkinson’s affects nearly one million people in the U.S., impacting movement, daily routines, and overall quality of life. But with understanding, compassion, and the right support, individuals can continue living meaningful, connected lives.
At Seniors Helping Seniors®, we’re honored to provide companionship and in-home support that helps older adults maintain independence while giving family caregivers peace of mind.
Let’s raise awareness, share resources, and remind those affected by Parkinson’s that they are never alone.

Care means more when it feels genuine and personal. At Seniors Helping Seniors®, support is built on shared stories, understanding, and real connection — because care should feel like friendship.

Update: all residents and staff are safe. Our caregivers are safely with our clients. Thankful for fantastic first responders that are working hard this morning.

Please pray for our dear friends at Compass Park in Franklin as a large fire is happening now.

Seniors Helping Seniors®️ is hosting a series on Brain Health at the Edinburgh Wright Hageman Library, with this week's session focusing on Laughter and Brain Health. Did you know that laughing increases blood flow to all parts of the brain, providing more oxygen and nutrients? Our series will continue on April 21st with a feature on Brain Health and Music, featuring special guest Mrs. Smiley Sings, who will explore how music impacts memory, entertainment rhythm, and brain activation. We invite everyone to attend and learn how simple changes can make a significant difference.

On April 16, 2026, National Healthcare Decision Day underscores the importance of educating the community about their rights to make personal healthcare decisions. Seniors Helping Seniors®️ is proud to partner with Judicial District 17 VASIA and Indiana Estate & Elder Law in advocating for seniors' rights. We are looking forward to future events that will provide opportunities for educational sessions, helping individuals navigate the decision-making process. Through collaboration, we can fill gaps and amplify seniors' voices.

In Home Care For Seniors By Seniors!

At Seniors Helping Seniors In-Home Care we match active, loving caregivers who are at least 50 years of age with seniors in their community who can use a little extra help to stay safe and comfortable in their own homes. Services include light housekeeping; errands and doctors appointments; meal preparation; assistance with bathing, dressing, and personal care; and respite care to give the primary caregiver a much-needed break. We begin our services with a free in-home assessment, and one of our managers always accompanies the caregiver to the first visit to make introductions. For our caregivers, this work is not just a job, it’s an opportunity for service and building new relationships! We are a licensed personal care agency and operate under the authority of the Indiana Department of Health.
