Raw milk may seem natural, but it can carry harmful bacteria and viruses that can make you seriously ill. Pasteurization helps keep milk safe to drink. Young children, older adults, pregnant women, and those with health conditions are at higher risk for severe illness. Stay safe, choose pasteurized milk and avoid raw foods! https://buff.ly/20aFGy7

Tickborne Alpha-Gal Syndrome cases are increasing across Kentucky and prevention starts with awareness! Alpha-Gal Syndrome can cause reactions to red meat, dairy products, gelatin, medications and other items containing alpha-gal sugars. Beginning May 14, the Kentucky Department for Public Health will begin using text messages during Alpha-Gal investigations. These text messages will contain a link to the standard Alpha-Gal questionnaire so patients can provide information for reportable disease investigations. Stay protected outdoors with repellents, permethrin-treated clothing, and regular tick checks. To learn more about Tickborne Diseases, visit https://buff.ly/8wusVnS.
