prescriptions — and mixing or mismanaging medications can lead to confusion or serious side effects.
A few tips:
Keep a current list of all your medications.
Share that list with your physicians.
Ask questions.

One donation can save up to
THREE lives. Did you know that? Blood donations are used not just in emergencies, but for cancer care, surgeries, and chronic blood conditions. Winter months often see fewer donors, but the need remains constant.

If you’re able, consider donating-your gift could be someone’s second chance.

Why do we get sick more often in
winter? Cooler temperatures lead to more time spent indoors and closer contact with others — which means cold and flu viruses spread more easily.
The good news? Small habits can make a big difference:
- Wash hands regularly
- Cover coughs and sneezes
- Stay hydrated
- Get plenty of rest
Healthy habits today mean healthier tomorrows!

Wishing everyone a happy and healthy holiday season from the Hartford County Medical Association.
