Another amazing CBC training in the books. Doing this work is truly an honor. In deep gratitude for what Dr. Cacciatore shared with us so that compassionate bereavement care can be available to more hearts. If you haven’t read her books, I highly recommend both this one and Bearing the Unbearable. 💜

Made this card recently, but it really is feeling like a change of landscapes — a natural melting away and revealing, if you will. I’m patient and I trust it. Know that evolutions don’t necessarily go by the calendar 😉 Happy New Year, all. May you honor each of your landscapes in the upcoming year with compassion and curiosity. 💚

Ah, the inner critic. We all have one. How it is shaped and informed is different for us all. When I work with inner critic, I really like to preface it with the idea that we can hear it, but we don’t have to live by it. We can greet inner critic at the door, but the visit can be temporary. Inner critic is a guest and doesn’t have to be a permanent resident taking up heart and mind space. Sometimes observing the thought, noticing where it stays with us, and choosing to release the thought (and repeating if necessary) takes a lot less energy than a) entertaining the inner critic for extended periods of time and b) trying to shush the inner critic repeatedly. Externalizing the inner critic, for example, through art or like this SoulCollage® card, can help you settle into a stance of curiosity rather than shame, fear, or doubt.
