It was a perfect day for a ferry ride to Port Jefferson! We enjoyed a delicious seafood lunch by the harbor and a relaxing cruise back, soaking in the views and good company.

We’ve got plenty of pickle lovers here at Crosby, so with all the pickle-flavored snacks popping up, we thought—why not have a taste test? From chips and popcorn to nuts and even cotton candy, residents sampled it all. Tastes varied—some couldn’t get enough, while others reached for water. Check out some of the sour faces! 😝

Residents were also curious to see if Pickles (Lauren’s dog) likes pickles. The verdict? Check out the video in our next post

⏰It's not too late! 🥣You still have time to support our Cereal Drive to benefit local food pantries through July 31! 🥣

We are looking for any non-perishable cereal (hot or cold) to help stock our local pantries to assist families who would otherwise go without. Donations collected from our Masonicare at Wesley Village communities in Shelton will be given to organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club of the Lower Naugatuck Valley & The Spooner House. Not in Shelton? Donate at any of our other Masonicare communities in Wallingford, Chester, Mystic, Rocky Hill, Farmington, and Newington!

Berry & Blues Brunch with Lauren 🫐
Lauren hosted a special Berry & Blues brunch in the bistro. On the menu: quiche Lorraine, her new favorite salad—baby greens topped with blueberries, candied pecans, goat cheese, and a homemade blueberry balsamic dressing—plus warm mini croissants and blueberry pie à la mode for dessert. Guests enjoyed good company, great flavors, and a relaxed blues-country playlist in the background. It was a berry good time from start to finish! 🎶

Beach vibes & burger bliss!
We had a fantastic day at Sherwood Island in Westport! Chef Hector’s famous burgers were a hit, the summer playlist added to the fun, and the coastal breeze was just right. Some strolled to the water, others lingered at the beautiful 9/11 memorial, and many stayed cool in the shade catching up with friends. Everyone was relaxed—there was even talk of naps on the way home! 😎
