Our Story
Established in 2004, the mission of the Karen Hilburn Cancer Fund (KHCF) is to help women with medical expenses for breast, cervical, ovarian, uterine and endometrial cancers, along with Gardasil Vaccinations.
The Karen Hilburn Cancer Fund is a Chapter of the Mason General Hospital Foundation which raises funds for the support of Public Hospital District No. 1., now known as Mason General Hospital & Family of Clinics.
Who Qualifies:

What the Fund Pays:
If you qualify, KHCF will pay:
• Diagnosis and treatment of breast, cervical, ovarian, uterine or endometrial cancers
• Insurance deductible and co-pays
• Transportation out of the area for radiation and chemotherapy
How You Can Help:
Your financial gift to the KHCF will go toward funding breast, cervical, ovarian, uterine and endometrial cancers diagnosis and treatment and Gardasil Vaccinations to prevent the HPV Virus to local uninsured or underinsured residents who live in Mason County. The diagnosis and treatment is very expensive, making it unattainable for some people. This much-needed Fund helps with the expenses and treatment at MGH&FC for those who have no other financial option.
If you would like to help local residents with the diagnoses and treatment of breast, cervical, ovarian, uterine and endometrial cancers, including Gardasil Vaccinations to prevent the HPV Virus at MGH&FC, please call (360) 462-FUND (3863) or email KHCF@hcc.net for more information.
