Mason Health is grateful to the team at Mason Clinic, in partnership with the Shelton Family YMCA and Women, Infants and Children program, for helping 85 students get a sports physical last weekend at Mason Health's free sports physical clinic at the YMCA! Since 2019, the annual number of opioid drug overdose deaths has nearly doubled, from 827 deaths in 2019 to 1619 in 2021. Mason Health, represented by Patient Financial Advocate Susana Lopez, was proud to participate in the 9th annual Mason County Overdose Awareness Walk & Resource Fair in Shelton last Friday, with community partners Mason County Public Health, Molina Healthcare and others.

Mason Health will also have a booth and will hand out emergency kits while supplies last.

September is National Literacy Month, and this Saturday is National Read A Book Day!

Mason Health is a proud partner with Reach Out And Read, a national nonprofit that champions the positive effects of shared reading and engaging in other language-rich activities with young children. Reading with a parent or caregiver promotes healthy brain development, furthers language acquisition, and helps families build meaningful bonds.

Mason Clinic Lab Services Update: The Mason Clinic Lab will close at 4 p.m. today. Patients will be directed to the Hospital Draw Station. All other District health care services are fully operational and the Emergency Department is available 24/7 for emergent care needs. Thank you for your understanding and we apologize for any inconvenience.

Mason Health is excited to welcome new Pediatrics provider Jennifer Robinson, MD, coming to us in October! 👏Dr. Robinson is a board certified pediatrician and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is from Littleton, Colorado, and attended Columbine High School, then Colorado State University with a degree in Biology/Biomedical Sciences before attending medical school at the University of Colorado. She completed her pediatric residency with a focus in Global Health at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.

Prior to medical training Dr. Robinson worked closely with children who have medical complexity, and still really enjoys working with this population. She is honored to provide care to children of all ages. Dr. Robinson aims to provide holistic and empathetic care for her patients. She also enjoys global medicine and loves to travel in her free time. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Robinson spends time walking her two dogs, enjoying a nice meal, drinking boba, running, rock climbing, snowboarding, skiing, camping, and napping.

Labor Day is Monday, Sept. 1. Mason Clinic, as well as Mason Health outpatient services and offices (such as Mason Clinic Lab, Rehabilitation Services, Mason Clinic-Hoodsport, Medical Records, Development/Foundation, Patient Accounts), will be closed to the public. Mason General Hospital's Emergency Department is open 24/7 and the Walk-In Clinic will be open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
