A day late but, I want to share with you some things you may not know about me. 😳
For most of my life I lived with chronic anger, chronic anxiety and chronic procrastination (to name a few) which lead me to have chronic undiagnosable physical ailments🥺. I then turned to alternative medicine because modern medicine wasn’t helping.
Hippocrates, a founder of modern medicine said “to master the art of wellness, one must first master the art of massage.” He understood that physical well-being was not only based on good eating habits and exercise but also influence by spiritual/energetic and emotional wellness. Massage brings them back into harmony with one another. Unfortunately, as modern medicine advanced, they slowly separated from anything that was not traceable to a biological response.
I write this to tell you from my own journey - that everything begins with a belief. It’s not the event(s) that continue to make us suffer it’s the belief that it created. It can also be a learned behavior from our prominent caretakers growing up.
I decided one day that I had had enough. 💪🏼 I promised myself that I was going to do whatever I needed to do to have and feel happiness. 💃🏻🎉
I began to pay attention to my thoughts, actions and the outcome of them to trace back what I believed. 🤔 I slowly worked at it with the use of correctly worded affirmations.
And I am happy to say that I don’t have any chronic emotional issue that cause physical manifestations. I was able to free myself by creating new beliefs.
I only experience stress based on actual events and NOT perceived threats of the subconscious mind. I now have the tools to manage my wellness. 🧘🏼♀️
