I have some upcoming events and promotions happening…and some in the works! I will be visiting my Grandma this month so I will be closing early on Sunday, the 19th, and will be closed Thursday, the 23rd. Family is important to me, so most closures will be due to spending time with my family! My hours on my website and google, should be correct if technology is working for me and not against me. ⏱️
In honor-ish of a day that we are all forced to partake in, I will be covering your tax on April the 16th! And in honor of the women who support us, I will be giving 8% off to mothers and caregivers (pets are included) on Mother’s Day. My birthday falls on the 8th and my mom’s birthday has an 8 in it.🌷
Also, in exciting news, the NW Herbal Fair announced the day of their Herbal Fair, August 23rd. I will be raffling a ticket off, more details to come! Lastly, I am working on a class that I never taught before, but became super inspired to do after listing to The Plant Path’s podcast. I will be working on getting it ready, but in brief, it will be a in-depth experience-based journey with one herb where we can gather after working with that herb and learn more depth about that herb, pairs, herbalism and share our experiences. The tincture and dried herb will be supplied by me for the class. 🌞
In my herbal week, I’m grateful for being able to harvest from a loving, supportive client for the 3rd year in the row. My first class I taught was all about Nettles and she let me harvest at hers and supported me in the class. I didn’t have time to cook with it, but I did blanch it when I got home and put it in the freezer. I will make a spring pesto with cleavers, dandelion greens, chickweed and a little purple dead nettle. I will make Nettle Gnocchi on a rainy day! Fun tip: put dried nettle in your scramble eggs, it adds a nice spinach/seaweed like flavor. In a surprise, because I tend to not be so careful, I didn’t get stung. I am very sensitive to formic acid! Happy harvesting! 🌱
