Dr. Kim Kretzschmar grew up in Houston, TX and graduated with the academic distinction of Cum Laude from the University of Houston, with a BBA in Business Management and a Minor in International Asian Studies in 2005. 
Dr. K completed her optometric training and graduation with her Doctorate of Optometry at the InterAmerican University of Puerto Rico in 2016. The University presented her with the Clinical Award for Excellence in Electro Diagnostics. 
She has completed externships in primary eye care at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Gainesville, FL as well as Omni Eye Services in Atlanta, GA, where she practiced specialty medicine in pre and post-op surgeries, glaucoma, corneal disease/injury, and retinal disease.
Dr. K is Board Certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry and is a professional member of the American Optometric Association, the Texas Optometric Association and the New York State Optometric Association. She is fluent in Spanish and Vietnamese.

We offer a variety of contact lenses, including soft contact lenses, lenses for astigmatism, and lenses to treat keratoconus. We can also fit you for more specialized lenses, such as scleral lenses and Ortho-K.
Our office is equipped with the latest in optometric diagnostic and imaging equipment, including OCT and VF machines, to detect diseases in early stages. 
We participate in a federally funded program (the Infant See program) that provides financial coverage for their first eye exam. Dr. K recommends that all infants receive an exam at six months old.
