Grace has earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from the Morningside University in Sioux City, Iowa, and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bellevue University. She a member of two honor societies focused on excellence in online learning and counseling studies – Omega Lambda Nu and Chi Sigma Iota.
Grace has previous experience in the mental health profession working in community-based inpatient mental health, correctional settings, and eating disorder care. She has a passion for providing empathy and respect while supporting individuals, children, couples, and families on their healing journey. Grace aims to create a safe environment for clients as they work on achieving their therapy goals, identifying values and strengths, and cultivating coping skills. Her therapeutic approach can be described as genuine, empathetic, and inclusive with an emphasis on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques.
Grace grew up in Northeast Nebraska, and moved to the Omaha area after college. She previously owned a landscape maintenance company, and enjoys the benefits of nature-based self-care. In her free time, she likes to go on walks or hikes, read, spend time with her friends and family, and get away from the city to explore new places or go camping.
